How is it calculated?

  • A working day is Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in the chosen UK region. Weekend holidays do not reduce working days themselves; their weekday substitute holidays do.
  • Without “Include the end date”, Monday to Tuesday counts as one day. Select it to count both dates.
  • When adding working days, the start date is excluded: Friday + 1 working day = Monday, unless it is a bank holiday.
  • Uses weekends and bank holidays for the chosen UK region, 2016–2036. Actual working arrangements depend on your employment contract.
